According to our governing bylaws:

There shall be one class of members.  Any person over the age of eighteen (18) who is of Portuguese descent or married to a person of Portuguese descent may become a member of this Corporation by payment of the annual dues as set forth in Section 20 of this Article II and by submission of his or her name to the Board for approval.  Additional qualifications of members and terms of admission to membership in the Corporation may be prescribed by the Board.
